137-year-old barn is home to Howard family

February 13, 1994

This landmark barn in the Dunloggin neighborhood of Ellicott City cost newlyweds Chris and Karen Brown $90,000 two years ago. They have renovated it into a four-bedroom house since appraised for about $325,000.

Exposed beams and the original, random-width pine flooring add to the charm of a combined living room and dining room with skylights and a ceiling 24 feet high.
