BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered Y & G Park grocery in the 1400 block of Argyle Ave. through the roof between Tuesday and Wednesday and stole property valued at nearly $500.

THEFT: Central District -- Police were seeking two men, one known as J.J. and the other "Tony," who were visiting a friend in the 900 block of Argyle Ave. when they stole his diamond nose ring valued at nearly $300.

THEFT: Central District -- Four rubber tree plants valued at a total of $50 were stolen from the Department of Social Services building in the 1800 block of N. Charles St. late last year. The theft was reported Wednesday.

CARJACKING TRY: Western District -- A resident of the 1800 block of Harlem Ave. was outside his home and scraping ice off his car Wednesday while the vehicle's engine was running when a man got into the car and attempted to drive it away. The owner then got into the passenger's side and was struggling with the man as he drove the car down the street. After the car moved several yards, the man got out of the car and ran away.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- A security officer at the Super Fresh store in the Mondawmin Mall arrested a man Tuesday when he attempted to leave the store without paying for nearly $20 worth of meat and cheese.

SCHOOL BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police responding to a burglary at the Calverton Junior High School in the 1100 block of Whitmore Ave. Tuesday arrested two teen-aged boys who entered through a window. Someone saw the boys inside the school and alerted police.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 400 block of S. Parrish St. was robbed of his crutches Wednesday when a man attacked him as he attempted to walk in the 1500 block of Ramsay St.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of W. Pratt St. over the weekend and stole property valued at $1,500. The burglary was reported Wednesday.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police were seeking a man known as "Meatball" who robbed a resident of the 2500 block of Terra Firma Road of a pen at gunpoint in the 2700 block of Seamon Ave. in Cherry Hill

Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 4000 block of Dorchester Ave. between Monday and Tuesday after breaking a window and stole property of unknown value.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $800 was stolen from a 1987 Nissan parked in the 3700 block of Parkview Ave. Monday.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who stole a computer printer valued at $200 from Radio Shack in the 6400 block of Reisterstown Road Wednesday.

Baltimore County

ASSAULT BY VEHICLE: North Point District -- A 16-year-old boy was to appear in District Court after being served a juvenile petition charging him with assaulting a 45-year-old resident of the 7100 block of Aldworth Road with a car Wednesday afternoon near the victim's home. The incident grew out of an argument. Police said the victim was not injured.
