Tuesday, Wright scored 19 as Western routed Edmondson, 89-22. Thursday, the Doves held Southern-B scoreless in three quarters en route to a 73-4 victory. Kimberly Smith scored a career-high 32 in Friday's 84-22 romp over Patterson. Next game: Tomorrow vs. Mervo.

Tiki Nicholson scored a combined 43 points as the Bears improved to 7-0 in Howard County with victories over No. 18 Glenelg, 69-35, on Monday; Howard, 56-28, on Wednesday; and Wilde Lake, 76-45, on Friday. 4 St. Frances (16-2, 165)-- Last week's ranking: 5. The Panthers overcame a 12-4 deficit after the first quarter to defeat Archbishop Spalding, 57-34, on Wednesday. Saturday, Melba Chambers scored 23 in a 46-36 win over No. 14 McDonogh. Next game: Tomorrow vs. Mercy at Loyola College.

5 Lake Clifton (11-1, 164) -- Last week's ranking: 3. The Lakers suffered their first loss of the season, 81-61, to No. 1 Western on Monday. Lake Clifton rebounded with a 98-19 rout of Southern-B Tuesday. Thursday, the Lakers edged Patterson, 50-48. Next game: Today vs. Southwestern.
