W&M stops Loyola, 75-62

WILLIAMSBURG, VA — WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Forward Marilyn Cayton scored 25 points to lead William & Mary to a 75-62 victory over Loyola yesterday.

Center Ashleigh Akens added 22 for William & Mary (14-4), which led 36-28 at the half. William & Mary shot 46.9 from the floor and 63.2 percent from the foul line.

Patty Stoffey led all scorers with 32 for Loyola (9-10)

Trenton 78, Salisbury 56

EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Melissa Hay scored 15 points to lead Trenton State (12-8) past Salisbury State (7-12). Kristi Kauffman led Salisbury with a game-high 21.

Coppin 69, Morgan State 39

Scherry Colfield and Rene Doctor each scored 17 to lead Coppin State (6-14, 5-5) past visiting Morgan State (2-18, 2-8) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Frostburg 74, Waynesburg 68

FROSTBURG -- Laura Baker scored 20 as Frostburg State (14-7) defeated Waynesburg College (12-6).

D8 Waynesburg's Lena Patterson led all scorers with 30.

Norfolk State 70, Bowie 67

BOWIE -- Michelle Sessoms had 17 points and 17 rebounds to lead Norfolk State (20-2, 14-1) to a come-from-behind victory over Bowie State (10-7, 7-7) in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association game.
