Chicago White Sox -- Agreed to terms with OF Michael Jordan on a minor-league contract and invited him to spring training as a non-roster player.

Detroit Tigers -- Agreed to terms with P Tim Belcher on a one-year contract.

Minnesota Twins -- Agreed to terms with P Scott Erickson, P Pat Mahomes, P Oscar Munoz, P Dave Stevens, P Kevin Tapani, C Matt Walbeck, IF Jeff Reboulet, IF Chip Hale, IF Denny Hocking, IF David McCarty, IF Gary Scott, IF Scott Stahoviak and OF Pedro Munoz on one-year contracts.

New York Mets -- Suspended P Bret Saberhagen for the first five days of the 1994 season.

NBA -- Announced the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis has been selected site of the 1994 Draft. Named San Antonio C David Robinson Player of the Week.

Memphis (USBL) -- Announced its nickname will be Fire.

Boxing

British Boxing Board of Control -- Fined heavyweights Michael Bentt and Herbie Hide $14,800 each for trading punches at a pre-fight news conference Jan. 10.

Brigham Young -- Announced the resignation of assistant football coach Dick Felt.

Cincinnati -- Named Dana Bible offensive coordinator and QB coach, L.C. Cole RB coach, Paul Dunn offensive line coach, Greg Karpinsky defensive line coach and Don Treadwell receivers coach. Rehired TE coach and recruiting coordinator John Harbaugh, DE coach Tom Roggeman and IL coach Jerry Rosburg.

MEAC -- Named Coppin State G Sidney Goodman and South Carolina State G Wanda Wiggins players of the week. Named F Joe Bunn (North Carolina A&T), Nisha Watson (North Carolina A & T) and C Denique Graves (Howard) rookies of the week.

NCAA -- Announced the retirement of Ted C. Tow, associate executive director, effective Feb. 25.
