* THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 1900 block of Belair Road Wednesday and stole a cellular phone and other items, all valued at $1,000.

* THEFT: Northeastern District -- A woman was shopping in a store in the 4200 block of Frankford Ave. Wednesday when a man stole her purse that had been left unattended in a shopping cart. The purse contained $100.

* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a storage shed at Parkside United Methodist Church in the 4400 block of Parkside Drive over the weekend and stole garden equipment valued at more than $200.

* BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered a house in the 2300 block of Mt. Royal Terrace after removing a security bar from a basement window and stole $50.

* ASSAULT/ARREST: Central District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Argyle Ave. was stabbed in the back with a knife at his apartment Wednesday. A male suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment.

* RAPE: Northern District -- Police were seeking the driver of a 4-door Toyota Corolla with a broken window who raped a woman in Druid Hill Park Tuesday or Wednesday. The suspect, an unlicensed cabbie, picked up the victim near her home in Hampden and drove her to the park, where he raped her at knifepoint. The victim was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

* SHOOTING: Northern District -- A resident of the 400 block of Whitridge Ave. was shot Wednesday afternoon as he left his house. He suffered a minor wound and was treated at an area hospital.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of 8th St. in Brooklyn was in the 3800 block of 9th St. Wednesday when a man placed a handgun to her side and robbed her of more than $400.

* STOLEN CAR: Southern District -- A 1987 Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags ZEV250 was stolen from the first block of Parkin St. Wednesday.

* THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered a truck parked in the 1700 block of Russell St. Wednesday after breaking a vent window and stole tools valued at $2,000.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the first block of E. Hamburg St. was walking in the 900 block of Harden Court Wednesday when a man stole her purse, containing cash and property, all valued at $70.

* ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Southern District -- A resident of the 1100 block of Ward St. was in the 900 block of Washington Blvd. Wednesay when two men he knows threatened him with a box cutter and robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $300. Two suspects were being held pending charges.


* STOLEN CAR: Towson District -- A blue 1900 Honda Accord with Maryland tags 357ANJ was stolen from the 7400 block of Stanmore Court Tuesday.
