Army runs past Navy, 65-58

Karin Gventer scored a game-high 21 points to lead visiting Army (12-6, 5-2) past Navy (7-11, 3-4), 64-58, last night.

Host Navy was led by Jenna Hausvik's 14 points and Kim Jackson contributed 11. Army led 25-24 STATE WOMEN

halftime, shooting just 37 percent from the field.

Coppin St. 62, Delaware St. 56

Monica Benson scored 17 points to lead host Coppin State (5-13, 4-4) past Delaware State (4-13, 2-5) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest. Coppin State trailed 32-31 at halftime, before it forced the Hornets to shoot eight of 30 in the second half.

Jackie Campbell (11-15) led all scorers with 25 points and 17 rebounds for Delaware State. Benson pulled down 12 rebounds for the Eagles, who shot only 25 of 63 from the floor.

Frostburg 69, Shenandoah 47

FROSTBURG -- Shannon Grieve scored a game-high 22 points and had seven rebounds, leading Frostburg State (12-7) past visiting Shenandoah (3-14), in a non-league game. Lena Patterson, a sophomore transfer from Maryland, contributed 17 points and nine rebounds.

Theresa Kilmer led Shenandoah with 17 points and Krista Porter added 12 and pulled down 13 rebounds.
