February 03, 1994

A Carroll County Circuit judge has reduced the bail set for a 50-year-old Taneytown man charged with attempting to kill his former girlfriend in October.

William Richard Bollinger, of the first block of E. Baltimore St., remained in the Carroll County Detention Center last night on $150,000 full bond, which was reduced by Judge Francis M. Arnold from $200,000.

Mr. Bollinger is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, assault, battery and breaking and entering in connection with the shooting of Faye Virginia Glass, 34, on Oct. 20 at her home in the 6300 block of Keysville Road.

Ms. Glass was treated and released from the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

According to court records, the gunshot wound in Ms. Glass' upper left chest, just above the heart, appeared to be from a small-caliber handgun.
