Patapsco Valley Park has job openings

Seasonal employment opportunities are available at Patapsco Valley State Park. Applications are being accepted for employment from March to October at area parks.

Opportunities exist for technicians, maintenance staff, mowing crew staff, naturalists and clerical staff.

Patapsco Valley State Park, part of the State Forest and Park Service of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, is an equal opportunity employer.

Employment preference will be given to applicants who are over age 18. Seasonal workers must have reached their 16th birthday by March 1.

*Ellicott City: 3300 block of North Chatham Road: A brown 1978 Ford F-250 truck with Colorado tags 3959WS was stolen Sunday night or Monday morning.

9400 block of Frederick Road: Vandals used black paint to spray "SEVER" on the back of the Miller Branch Library building Sunday..

*Elkridge: 5800 block of Route 1: A 30-year-old Severn man was arrested on rogue and vagabond charges early Saturday after police said they spotted him behind a vacant car dealership with a crow bar, saw and flashlight. The man, Thomas Edward Asquith, later was released on personal recognizance.
