Hammond S. "Skip" Carr, senior vice president of O'Conor, Piper and Flynn Realty of Severna Park, has been named general chairman of the YMCA Annual Support Partner With Youth Campaign for 1994.

Mr. Carr, a longtime leader in the Anne Arundel business community and a YMCA executive committee member, has agreed to head a team of 40 volunteers for the campaign this month.

A Round Bay resident, Mr. Carr is a member and past president of the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce; a member and past president of the Maryland Association of Realtors and past president of the Severn School Trustees. He is active in St. Martin of the Field Episcopal Church.

The community leader was named to his post by the YMCA Board of Directors and has begun work on his volunteer enlistment program.

The campaign's financial goal is $30,000, Mr. Carr said.

The YMCA serves more than 3,000 children, adults and families and would like to serve as many as 5,000, Mr. Carr said.
