January 31, 1994

OREM, UTAH -- Two college students originally from western Anne Arundel County were killed along with an Oklahoma man in a head-on collision here early Saturday, police said.

Kevin H. Carlton and Allan Voss, both 23 and from Gambrills, were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash on Interstate 15, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

The two Maryland men -- students at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, 50 miles north of Orem -- were returning home after taking part in a fund-raising event in Provo, Utah.

Police said the accident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. when a car driven by Tommy Noisey, 31, of Mansford, Okla., made a U-turn on a freeway and collided head-on with a car carrying the students. The cars collided in the center lane, on a hill.

Mr. Noisey, who was in Utah with his wife visiting relatives, was also pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, police said.
