Annapolis club for Irish descendants installs officers

Edward J. McVeigh has been installed for a second term as president of the Commodore John Barry Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Mr. McVeigh, a native of County Antrim, Ireland, came to the United States when he was a boy.

Other officers of the Annapolis-based division are retired Rear Adm. Ralph Murphy, vice president; Robert J. Philburn, recording secretary; Dennis T. O'Keefe, financial secretary; Vernon J. Laurie, treasurer; James Seerey, marshal; Robert Hearn, sentinel; and Lt. Cmdr. William J. Mae III, grievance

chairman.

At the group's installation ceremony last month, Annapolis Mayor Alfred A. Hopkins was inducted as a new member. His grandmother is of Irish descent.
