Redskins, Turner to talk on Tuesday

January 29, 1994|By Vito Stellino

ATLANTA -- Norv Turner, the offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, will fly to Washington on Tuesday morning for his interview with Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke, a source said yesterday.

Although the Phoenix Cardinals also are interested in Turner, he is expected to be formally offered the Washington job during the interview and is expected to accept it.

The Redskins wanted Turner to fly to Washington on Monday directly from the Super Bowl in Atlanta, but he wants to return home to Dallas with his family first.
