January 28, 1994

A 22-year-old Severna Park woman remained in critical condition yesterday after an accident Wednesday afternoon in which her 1991 Jeep was broadsided by a tractor-trailer near a Glen Burnie shopping center.

Renee Michelle Tomlinson of the 200 block of Whistling Pine Drive was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she was treated for severe head injuries, county police said.

The accident occurred about 3:40 p.m. on Ordnance Road near the intersection with Bay Meadow Drive, in front of the Price Club Plaza.

Police said Ms. Tomlinson was making a left turn into the shopping center when her Jeep was hit by a tractor-trailer owned by Baltimore Tank Lines. Police identified the truck driver as Stephen Robert Thompson but could not provide his age or address. He was not injured.

Police said their investigation of the accident is continuing.
