MARC to expand train service at midday and in evenings

January 28, 1994

Starting Jan. 31, MARC train service will be expanded between Baltimore's Camden Station and Washington's Union Station. Additional trains will run at midday and during extended evening hours and stop at stations in Elkridge, Jessup and Savage.

The move is just one step to help meet the Baltimore/Washington requirements of the federal Clean Air Act.

Other benefits include greater flexibility for workers dependent on mass transit to modify their work schedules and the opportunity for noncommuters to avoid morning rush hour and travel between Baltimore and Washington for shopping, sightseeing and entertainment.

The Howard County Commuter Assistance Office will give information on MARC Station locations and train schedules on request.

Information: 313-3130.

POLICE LOG
