Senior guard Steve Wojciechowski had 18 points, five assists and four steals last night to lead No. 6 Gibbons (14-4, 4-0) past The Heights of D.C. (8-4), 61-46, giving Gibbons coach Ray Mullis his 600th career win.

Josh Davalli had 16 and six rebounds for Gibbons in the nonleague game. Mike Langley's 22 points led The Heights.

* Northern 69, Poly 66: Lloyd Jones hit three foul shots in the final 50 seconds to break a tie and help Northern (6-6, 2-1) hand No. 17 Poly (8-4, 3-1) its first conference loss in a Baltimore City 2A-3A League game.

* Dunbar 83, Douglass 53: Junior guard Billy Wells scored 21 points to lead No. 2 Dunbar (11-1, 5-0) past host Douglass (1-7, 0-3) in a Baltimore City 2A-3A League game.

* Patterson 64, Mervo 58: Sophomore guard Terrance Allen led all scorers with 20 points as Patterson (6-7, 1-1) downed host Mervo (1-10, 0-2) in a Baltimore City 4A League game.

* Northwestern 69, Forest Park 54: Sophomore forward Tyrone Bond scored 20 points to lead Northwestern (2-4, 2-1) over visiting Forest Park (1-7, 0-2) in a Baltimore City 2A-3A League game.

Girls basketball

* Lake Clifton 71, Edmondson 25: Nathisa Ferguson scored 24 points and added 15 rebounds as No. 3 Lake Clifton (9-0, 7-0) passed Edmondson in a Baltimore City 4A League game.

* Western 86, Southwestern 18: Chanel Wright scored 20 and had eight rebounds to lead No. 1 Western (11-1, 7-0) past Southwestern.
