Reese's 20 lifts Loyola, 76-61

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Senior forward Michael Reese scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace Loyola by Niagara University, 76-61, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at the Niagara Falls Convention Center last night.

Senior guard Tracy Bergan scored 18 points with 10 assists for the Greyhounds (9-5, 3-2). The victory was Loyola's sixth in its past eight and its second league road win.

The Greyhounds trailed the Purple Eagles 37-32 at halftime but outscored them 20-8 in the first eight minutes of the second half to take a 52-45 lead.

Niagara (3-13, 0-4) pulled within five on Reggie Moore's jump shot with 6:24 remaining, but Loyola went on a 16-2 run capped by Reese's layup with 1:35 to break the game open.
