Chamber's breakfast rescheduled for Feb. 9

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its "Wake Up West County: Business Before Hours" breakfast for Feb. 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., at Perry's Golden Flame, 1210 Annapolis Road, Odenton.

The breakfast had been scheduled for Jan. 18, but was postponed because of the last week's winter storms.

Participants will have three minutes to describe their products and services and what kinds of business leads would help them.

The cost for members is $12.50 in advance, $15 at the door and $25 for non=members. Call 672-3422 no later than Feb. 7 to make reservations.


The Gambrills Odenton Recreation Council has rescheduled its spring registration for Saturday and Sunday, from noon until 2 p.m., at Arundel Middle School, 1179 Hammond Lane, Odenton. All spring sports are open for registration.

The Fort Meade Officers' Wives Club monthly luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Fort Meade Officers' Club.

Edmund Truter, the "Merman" of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, will speak.

North Arundel Hospital will offer a Family Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 5 at its Odenton Medical Center, 1215 Annapolis Road, Odenton.

All screenings, most of them performed by doctors at the center, are free.
