January 25, 1994

NBA Hoops, the official NBA Basketball Card, is searching for the top NBA trivia buffs in the first NBA Hoops Scoops Trivia Contest, presented by the Dugout, Cards and Comics, at Chatham Mall in Ellicott City.

The contest is offered at 50 sites across the country. The local contest will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 5, 12 and 19, with a playoff round on Feb. 26.

First-place finishers in each division at each store receive an authentic Magic Johnson autographed card, SkyBox merchandise, including T-shirts, caps, and gym bags.

The contest will determine winners in several age groups. It will be held in-store with contestants completing multiple-choice quiz sheets to gain a spot on the shop's leader board. Contestants must present an NBA Hoops Series 2 foil wrapper to participate. The series was available to collectors on Jan. 12.
