Robber strikes store cashier during Taylorsville holdup

January 23, 1994

A man wearing a hooded jacket and apparently carrying a weapon hit the cashier of a Taylorsville convenience store about 2:40 a.m. Friday and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.

State police in Westminster said the robber walked into the 7-Eleven store in the 4200 block of Ridge Road brandishing an object.

He struck the cashier on the head.

The robber ran to a compact car and escaped with the money.

Police said they believe the car may have been driven by an accomplice.

Police did not release the name of the cashier, who was taken to the Carroll County General Hospital and released after treatment.
