Janet B. Livingston and Howard E. Friedman have won the 1993 Harry Greenstein Young Leadership Awards of the Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.

Thomas Pegram and Elizabeth Schmidt, assistant professors of history at Loyola College, received Special Mention in the 14th annual Alpha Sigma Nu Book Awards for books published in 1992.

Dr. Reubin Andres of Baltimore is the 1993 winner of the international Rank Prize in Nutrition, presented by the Royal Society of Medicine in London.

William D. Savitsky of Cockeysville, comptroller of the Military Sealift Command, received the Senior Executive Service Senior Performance Award from Adm. Stanley R. Arthur, vice chief of Naval Operations.

Andrea Prosperetti, professor of mechanical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University, has been elected a fellow of the American Physical Society, one of the highest professional honors in the scientific community.

The Phi Theta Kappa Chapter at Essex Community College inducted the following new members: Andrew D. Cramer, Bruce LeVere Currie, Brenda Anne Jobson, Gwen Carol Koenigsburg, Craig Robert Newell, Francois Ntchombou, Anthony Sorrenti Jr. and Robin L. Whelan, all of Baltimore. Membership in the group requires that the students have a 3.4 grade point average or higher.

Dionne Wallace of Baltimore was awarded a Graduate Other Race Grant from Towson State University.

Loyola College junior Owen C. Thomas was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Baltimore Chemical Association.
