Busby's 17 lift Hopkins past Shoremen, 61-56

CHESTERTOWN -- Senior swingman Luke Busby scored 17 to lead Johns Hopkins (12-3) past Washington College last night, 61-56. The Blue Jays (12-3) dominated the boards by out-rebounding the Shoremen 58-28.

Lou Sabad, a 6-foot-6 senior center for the Blue Jays, added 10 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Johns Hopkins led 29-22 at halftime by limiting Washington (6-9) to 35 percent shooting from the field.

Senior guard Geoff Rupert (South Carroll) led the Shoremen with 16 points.

Frostburg State 92, Bethany 76

FROSTBURG -- Sophomore reserve center Rodney Jeffries scored 29 and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Frostburg State (9-4) past Bethany (4-9) despite freshman Kevin Kozup's 32 points.
