BALTIMORE CITY

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A woman from the 3700 block of Seven Mile Lane was in the 5500 block of Park Heights Ave. Wednesday when a man tried to steal her purse. During a struggle for the purse, the man pulled out a syringe and threatened to stab the woman in the arm. The woman let go of the purse, which contained cash and property, all valued at $60.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1990 Oldsmobile with Maryland tags VMT402 was stolen from the 3100 block of Sumter Ave. Wednesday.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity with Maryland tags PLJ603 was stolen Wednesday from the 5100 block of Wilvan Ave.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man who implied he had a handgun robbed a resident of the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. of $30 Wednesday while the victim walked across a parking lot near his home.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Cadillac with Maryland tags PPK661 was stolen from the 3300 block of Virginia Ave. Tuesday or Wednesday.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- Someone stole a 1988 Cadillac with Maryland tags BCD506 from the 2500 block of Queen Anne Road Wednesday.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Mazda with Maryland tags ANG340 was stolen Wednesday from the 3400 block of Garrison Blvd.

* THEFT: Northern District -- A 1991 Ford pickup truck was parked in the 3800 block of W. 38th St. when someone removed the vehicle's tailgate Tuesday or Wednesday .

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 200 block of E. Highfield Road was walking near her home Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing more than $100.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered M R Shooters in the 300 block of Woodyear St. through a rear door Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and stole $100.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Three buckets of quarters, a ring and watch, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 1300 block of S. Charles St. Wednesday by someone who entered through a rear door.

* SCHOOL BURGLARY: Southern District -- Three classrooms at public school No. 80 in the 2700 block of Seamon Ave. were ransacked Wednesday by someone who entered the school through a window. It was not immediately known what, if any, property had been taken.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of S. Howard St. was counting money in the 1500 block of S. Hanover St. Wednesday when a man grabbed the money and fled. The man escaped with $60.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of S. Hanover St. was in the 1100 block of Leadenhall St. Wednesday when a man robbed him of his hat, jacket and tennis shoes, all valued at nearly $200.

* STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- A rented 1994 Ford Explorer with Virginia tags RXX164 was stolen from the 100 block of S. Morley St. Monday or Tuesday.

* STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- A 1991 Ford owned by a resident of the first block of S. Monastery Ave. and with Maryland tags AMC795 was stolen from the 3500 block of W. Caton Ave. Tuesday or Wednesday.

* THEFT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a woman who attempted to leave the Super Fresh store in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. Wednesday without paying for meat valued at more than $40.

* STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- While a resident of the 600 block of Allendale St. was pushing his 1985 Dodge out of the ice near his home Wednesday, a man who volunteered to help and who was steering the vehicle drove off when the car cleared the ice. The car, with Maryland tags NXC011, had not been recovered.

* STOLEN PICKUP RECOVERED: Cockeysville District -- A 1987 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from the 10200 block of Sunnylake Place. The vehicle was recovered Wednesday at Sunnylake and Bridgelake place. Police said the pickup's steering had been damaged.
