Four Taneytown teens charged with selling marijuana and LSD

January 20, 1994

Four Taneytown juveniles were arrested and charged Tuesday with selling marijuana and LSD to an undercover officer during a three-month investigation last year.

Police Chief Mel Diggs said the youths, two 15-year-olds and two 16-year-olds, were released to their parents' custody after they were charged. They will be tried in Juvenile Court.

The chief said the investigation was conducted from August to October while the undercover officer worked with an informant from the area. Small "buys" were made at that time.

All four boys attend school in the Taneytown area, but Chief Diggs would not release the schools' names. Each of the youths was charged with distribution of the drugs, the chief said.
