VP Aylward latest to exit O's front office

January 18, 1994|By From Staff Reports

2/3 TC Bob Aylward, Orioles vice president for business affairs, is the latest executive to leave the club, the team announced yesterday. Since new owner Peter G. Angelos took over in October, a number of officials have been fired or resigned, including president Larry Lucchino, senior vice president Tom Daffron and club counsel Lon Babby.

Aylward, who joined the Orioles full time in 1978, has taken on many business duties during the past 15 years. Among his tasks were guiding the team's planning during the construction of Camden Yards and negotiating the team's local TV and radio contracts.
