Taneytown receives state funds to develop a paved parking lot

Taneytown has received money from the state to develop a paved parking lot on the site of the old Taneytown High School on George Street at Roberts Mill Road.

The state Board of Public Works will give the city $5,680 for the project as part of its expenditures for the Department of Natural Resources Program Open Space.

The paved area will provide parking for patrons of the town's adjacent playground and ball fields.
