Police arrest two men after alleged drug deal

Howard County narcotics officers arrested two Columbia men on drug charges Thursday night after police stopped their car during a suspected drug transaction in Oakland Mills.

About 11 p.m. Thursday, detectives from the Street Drug Unit were patrolling the area along the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road when they approached a 1986 Mitsubishi Starion.

Officers arrested the two men when inspection of the vehicle turned up marijuana.

Philippe Andrew Inskeep, 18, of the 11200 block of Powder Run and Alan Richard Henley, 18, of the 6000 block of Sunny Spring were being held on $2,500 bond at the Howard County Detention Center on Friday.

The two were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police seized the car used during the alleged transaction.

* Owen Brown: Route 175/Snowden River Parkway Park and Ride: A dark blue 1989 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags WLV122 was stolen Thursday.

* Long Reach: 5300 block of Phelps Luck Drive: Officers responding to a High's store alarm found its front glass door smashed with a rock. Cigarettes were taken, police said.
