Orioles -- Agreed to terms with 3B Chris Sabo on a one-year contract.

California Angels -- Agreed to terms with P Joe Grahe and P Ron Watson on one-year contracts.

Cleveland Indians -- Agreed to terms with IF Alvaro Espinoza on a one-year contract.

Colorado Rockies -- Named Dave Campbell as a television broadcaster.

New York Mets -- Agreed to terms with P Pete Smith on a one-year contract.

San Francisco Giants -- Agreed to terms with SS Mike Benjamin on a two-year contract. Invited 11 players to spring training as nonroster players: P Bud Black, P Fred Costello, P Kurt Peltzer, P Steve Soderstrom, P Rob Taylor, P Mike Walker, C Andy Allanson, C Tom Lampkin, C Dan Fernandez, IF Erik Johnson and former Orioles IF Rex Hudler.

Seattle Mariners -- Agreed to terms with P Greg Hibbard on a three-year contract. Designated P Travis Buckley for assignment.


NBA -- Suspended New York Knicks G Rolando Blackman for one game without pay and fined him $2,000 for throwing a punch at Detroit Pistons' David Wood in game on Thursday.

Continental Basketball Association -- Selected Hartford as host site for the 1995 All-Star Game and Sioux Falls as host for the 1996 All-Star Game.

Golden State Warriors -- Placed F Byron Houston on the injured list.


North Carolina State -- Announced that C/F Lewis Sims has been ruled ineligible for the rest of the basketball season.

Oklahoma -- Announced that QB Doug Switzer will transfer to Missouri Southern State College.

Tennessee -- Announced the resignation of strength and conditioning coach Bruno Pauletto.

Washington -- Announced that offensive coordinator Jeff Woodruff will not seek renewal of his contract and has been assigned temporarily to administrative work.

Washington State -- Announced the retirement of baseball coach Frederick Charles "Bobo" Brayton, effective at the end of the season.


Green Bay Packers -- Signed P Craig Hentrich off the practice squad and placed him on the active roster.

Indianapolis Colts -- Fired director of player personnel Jack Bushofsky.

Kansas City Chiefs -- Signed QB Chris Hakel. Released DE Keith Traylor.


St. Louis Ambush (NPSL) -- Activated Joe Reiniger from the disabled list.
