State police have no suspects in Mount Airy drive-by shooting

January 12, 1994

State police are continuing their investigation but still have no suspects in the drive-by shooting of a 19-year-old Catonsville man at a Mount Airy home on Saturday night.

Brian Dehn was shot in the abdomen about 11:23 p.m. while he was in a house in the 100 block of E. Ridgeville Blvd., said Sgt. Andy Mays.

Mr. Dehn remains in good condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

The bullet went through the wall of the dwelling of Yvonne Valltos and her family, before striking Mr. Dehn, the sergeant said.

No one else was injured.

Police are seeking a full-size, red pickup truck with oversized tires and a silver roll bar on the bed, which was seen in the area at the time of the incident, according to Sergeant Mays.

Anyone with information on the shooting should call Cpl. Edward Fox at the Westminster barracks, 876-8989.
