Robber takes wallet from woman, 18

An 18-year-old Glen Burnie woman was robbed of her wallet as she walked in front of her home Thursday evening, county police said.

Tameeka Dawson, of the 1300 block of Gatwick Road, was attacked at 4:35 p.m. by a man who came up behind her and put a sharp object against her back.

He demanded her money and took her wallet with $125 in it, the police report said.

The robber was described as a white man, about 6 feet tall and wearing a long black coat with a fur collar and dark shoes.

Gunman holds up Royal Farm store

A gunman in a black leather coat robbed a Royal Farm store near North Arundel Hospital of an undetermined amount of cash shortly after 2 a.m. yesterday.

Anne Arundel County police said the man entered the store on the 200 block of Oakwood Road with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He ran toward the nearby Town and Country Apartments.

The gunman was described as a clean-shaven, short black male, about 30, with gold wire-rim glasses.
