* Rear Adm. Archibald H. Scales will take over as the 25th superintendent of the Naval Academy for Rear Adm. Edward W. Eberle next week. -- The Sun, Feb. 1, 1919.

* The Colored congregation of Mt. Olive AME church in Parole held a ceremony yesterday unveiling a service flag with 53 stars, one a gold star, in honor of those members who had served in the war. -- Anne Arundel County Kuethe Library files, Feb. 3, 1919.

* Greenberry Point Farm, containing 301 acres with a frontage on Mill Creek and Carr's Creek near the mouth of the Severn River, sold at auction for $47,000. -- The Sun, Feb. 12, 1919.

* After a lapse of many years, the Naval Academy has again taken up soccer and hopes to now make it a competitive sport with outside teams which it was not before. -- The Sun, Feb. 19, 1919.
