Jakia Ervin scored a game-high 23 points to lead No. 4 St. Frances (12-1, 4-0) past host Mercy (6-5, 2-2), 58-30, in a Catholic League game yesterday. Shannon Cohen led Mercy with 10 points.

St. Frances expanded a five-point halftime lead by outscoring the Sharpshooters 18-6 in the third quarter.

* Lake Clifton 82, City 24: Junior center Latisha Ferguson had 24 points, 24 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead No. 3 Lake Clifton (6-0) over host City in a non-league game.

* Old Mill 65, Glen Burnie 32: Michelle Salmon scored 17 and Kerry Eland added 10, leading No. 7 Old Mill past Glen Burnie (1-5) in an Anne Arundel County 4A League game.

* Arundel 59, Northeast 46: Arundel's Jen Mottar had 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the No. 16 Wildcats (7-2) over host Northeast. Chavonne Hammond added 13 points and 14 rebounds for Arundel.

* Glenelg 50, Atholton 35: In the Howard County League opener for both teams, Camey Brian scored a game high 13 points to lead visiting No. 18 Glenelg (8-1, 1-0) past Atholton (4-5, 0-1). Trish Kilroy scored 12 for the Gladiators.

* Walbrook 52, Carver 49: Dashawn Coleman scored 31 and made five assists to lead Walbrook (4-3, 3-1) past Carver in a City-Wide League game. Danielle Turner scored 14 and pulled down a game high 20 rebounds the Warriors.

* Mervo 61, Northern 28: Alexis Washington, a sophomore forward, scored 11 to lead Mervo (3-2, 3-2) past visiting Northern.

* Woodlawn 72, Parkville 42: Woodlawn's Anika Lee, a senior guard, scored 20 to lead the Warriors past host Parkville in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game. Avareena Schools chipped in 18 for the winners. Sophomore guard Debbie Curran led Parkville with 17 points.

* Maryvale 42, Bryn Mawr 35: Meg McLaughlin scored 12 and pulled down 23 rebounds as host Maryvale (7-2) defeated Bryn Mawr.

Bridget Greenawalt added 10 and five assists for the Lions in a non-conference game.

* Mount de Sales 62, IND 55: Amy Buck, a junior center, scored 32 and grabbed 25 rebounds to lead Mount de Sales (6-2, 2-3) past visiting IND in a Catholic League game. Junior forward Shannon Skopp led IND with 13.

* Roland Park CS 66, Park 35: Senior forward/guard Melissa Cully scored 15 to lead host Roland Park Country School (2-7, 2-4) past Park in an AIS A Conference Red Division game.

* Edmondson 49, Forest Park 41: Freshman guard Keenya Langley scored 11 with three assists and three steals to lead the Redskins (2-3) over host Forest Park in a non-league game.

* Oldfields 57, Lutheran 21: Sophomore Ann Chapman scored 18 to lead host Oldfields past Lutheran in an AIS non-conference game.

* Dunbar 70, Southern-BC 14: Keisha Smith scored 16 to lead Dunbar past visiting Southern-BC in a non-league game. Sharon Queen added 14 for the Poets.

* Garrison Forest 44, St. Timothy's 12: Garrison Forest's Eleanor Brooks scored 13 in the Grizzlies' win over visiting St. Timothy's in an AIS non-conference game.

* Mount Carmel 18, Rock Church 15: Larissa Paulino's 12 points led Mount Carmel over host Rock Church in a non-league game.

* Patterson 63, Douglass 30: Jackie Wilkes had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead visiting Patterson (6-5) over Douglass (0-3) in a non-league game.

* Catonsville 57, Chesapeake-BC 15: Meghann Mohler scored 12 to lead visiting Catonsville past Chesapeake-BC in a Baltimore County 1A-2A League game.

* Dulaney 50, Lansdowne 46: Junior Lisa Rutledge had 18 to lead Dulaney (4-2, 4-2) over visiting Lansdowne in a Baltimore County 3A-4A game.

* North County 50, Meade 32: Senior center Joy Farmer scored 15 and grabbed 29 rebounds as North County (3-4) breezed past host Meade in an Anne Arundel 4A League game.

Theresa Silcott scored 19 for the Mustangs.

* Milford Mill 45, Owings Mills 35: Kisha Watkins had 17 to lead Milford Mill past host Owings Mills (4-5, 3-4) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A League game.

Tenia Stuckey added 12 for the Millers. Sheree Tilley led Owings Mills with 14.

* Chesapeake AA 52, South River 36: Sanda Norris had 17 to lead Chesapeake-AA over host South River (4-5) in a non-league game.

* McDonogh 41, St. Paul's 17: Senior Sonia Chase scored 11 to take the visiting Eagles (7-2, 1-0) past the Crusaders (3-4, 2-1) in an AIS A Conference Blue Division game.

* Severn 45, Friends 28: Forward Kate Graw had 16 to lead visiting Severn over Friends in an AIS A Conference Red Division game.
