New Windsor wants a public library branch

New Windsor Town Council has voted to ask the county to put a public library branch in town to serve the Northwest Carroll area.

Officials also voted to oppose any ideas to put a branch in Linwood, a proposal that had been made by the County Commissioners and the library board.

Although the County Planning Commission has recommended the commissioners postpone plans to put a modular library in the area, the council agreed they should send an official request to the county and to the library board.
