Glen Burnie woman robbed at bank's ATM

January 07, 1994

A 43-year-old woman was robbed at a Glen Burnie bank automatic teller machine Wednesday evening, county police reported.

The woman was withdrawing money from a Signet Bank machine in the 500 block of Crain Highway at 6:45 p.m. when a man approached her from behind.

When he demanded her money, Ms. Riley dropped the cash she had in her hand. He told her to withdraw more money and she did, the police report said.

The robber then ran to the back of the building. He was described as a white man, 6 feet tall, about 180 pounds and in his late 20s. He was wearing a camouflage army coat, a light-colored sweater and green pants.
