Brian Scott scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds to lead host Poly (5-3) over No. 20 City, 89-79, in a Baltimore City 2A-3A boys basketball league game yesterday.

* Southern-B 85, Carver 46: Top-ranked Southern (6-0) beat host Carver in a nonleague game. Senior guard Kevin Simpson had 24 points, five assists and nine rebounds.

* Southern-AA 96, Surrattsville 95, 2 OT: Cory Contee hit a driving layup at the buzzer to give No. 7 Southern-AA (5-1) a double-overtime victory over Surrattsville of Prince George's County.

* Lutheran 77, Patapsco 60: Senior Damian Valentine scored 21 and made 11 steals to lead host Lutheran (4-2) over Patapsco (2-6) in a nonleague game.

* Patterson 87, Northern 74: Junior forward Anthony Harrison scored 19 to lead host Patterson (5-4, 5-4) past Northern (4-5, 4-5) in a Baltimore City 2A-3A League game. * St.Paul's 54, Archbishop Curley 48: Senior Brian Reese scored 13 and grabbed 15 rebounds, as St. Paul's (6-4) beat host Curley in an MSA B Conference Division I League game.

* Gilman 79, Forest Park 62: Jimmy Fields scored 16 to lead host Gilman (8-4) past Forest Park (1-5) in a nonleague game. Fields also had 10 assists and eight rebounds.

* Friends 75, Boys' Latin 66: Sean Armstrong had 24 and four assists to lead the Quakers (2-5) past Boys' Latin in an MSA B Conference Division II game.

* Loch Raven 65, Pikesville 49: Dane Elterman led Loch Raven (5-2, 4-1) with 32 over Pikesville (1-7).

* Dulaney 58, Randallstown 54: Junior guard Jon Snyder led Dulaney (3-5, 2-5) with 19 -- including six straight three-pointers -- past visiting Randallstown in a Baltimore County League game.

* Eastern Tech 61, Franklin 43: Chip Pross led Eastern Tech (4-2, 4-2) with 18 in its victory over visiting Franklin in a Baltimore County 3A-4A game.

* Owings Mills 82, Towson 64: Ryan Polly scored a game-high 27 in leading Owings Mills (3-3, 2-2) past Towson (3-3) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

* Overlea 68, Catonsville 60: Troy Williams scored 32 to lead host Overlea (5-1) past Catonsville in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

Girls basketball

* St. Mary's 76, Archbishop Spalding 39: Annetta Davis scored 26 and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead host No. 5 St. Mary's (10-2, 2-0) over Spalding (1-9, 0-3).

* Towson 68, Owings Mills 19: Sarah Weaver scored 15 to lead No. 9 Towson past visiting Owings Mills (4-4).

* Seton Keough-C 53, Mercy 44: Meghan Donovan and Katie Sparks scored 13 each to lead visiting Seton Keough (7-4, 2-1) over Mercy (6-4, 2-1) in a Catholic League game. Mercy's Christina Williamson led all scorers with 15.

* Bryn Mawr 51, Catholic 36: Bryn Mawr's Emily Hickman was the leading scorer with 16, as the Martians defeated host Catholic (3-8) in a nonleague game.

* Woodlawn 58, Perry Hall 25: Avareena Schools scored a game-high 20 and had 13 rebounds, as host Woodlawn (3-3, 3-3) defeated Perry Hall in a Baltimore County 3A-4A league game.

* Severn 51, Roland Park 39: Monique Jennings scored 19 to lead visiting Severn past Roland Park in an AIS A Conference Red Division contest.

* Maryvale 44, Friends 31: Junior forward Meghan Doyle scored 21 to lead host Maryvale (6-2, 1-2) over Friends in an AIS A Conference Red Division game.
