* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1988 Acura Legend with Maryland tags AJB672 was stolen from the 5500 block of Leith Road Tuesday.

* ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Plainfield Ave. was in the 5200 block of Goodnow Road Tuesday when one of two men passing by fired a shot at him. The victim was not injured.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1993 Honda witMaryland tags AWW049 was stolen from the 5600 block of Purdue Ave. Monday.

* SHOOTING/ARREST: Eastern District -- A man seen by police shooting at another man in the 1500 block of N. Washington St. Tuesday night was himself shot during an exchange of gunfire with officers before they arrested him. Released from Johns Hopkins Hospital after treatment for a minor gunshot wound to the shoulder and charged with multiple counts of attempting to kill the officers and handgun violations was Antwaun Pender, 34, of the 600 block of Smithson St. He was being held at the station pending a bail hearing. The man officers saw being fired upon escaped. None of the officers involved in the shoot-out were injured.

* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A 32-year-old resident of the 90block of Homestead St. was listed in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot Tuesday night during an argument with a gunman inside a cut-rate store in the 1600 block of E. Federal St. The victim was shot in both legs shortly after 9 p.m. and staggered outside and fell on the pavement, where he was found by police. The gunman escaped.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A gray 1989 Hyundai with Virginia tags PIU471 and owned by a resident of the 3000 block of Guilford Ave. was stolen from the 200 block of E. 30th St. Tuesday.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- Someone stole a 1980 Toyota staton wagon with Maryland tags ATR004 from the 4800 block of Poe Ave. Monday or Tuesday.

* SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4900 block of Denmore Ave. was walking in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave. Tuesday when he heard a gunshot and felt a pain. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment of a minor wound and released.


* STAND-OFF/ARREST: Woodlawn District -- A man who held a knife to his girlfriend in the couple's apartment in the 2000 block of Richglen Drive Tuesday night was arrested after a stand-off. The woman was not injured. Shortly after police hTC entered the apartment about 6 p.m., they persuaded the man to drop the knife and release the woman. He did and was arrested without further incident and admitted to the Northwest Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.

* ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A gunman robbed the Subway carryout in the 100 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum Tuesday. The gunman also robbed a female customer of her purse.
