* OFFICER ASSAULTED/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a 26-year-old man Sunday and charged him with assaulting Officer Alexis Leverette by allegedly attempting to run him down with a car in the 1500 block of N. Monroe St. The officer was not injured. In addition to being charged with assaulting Officer Leverette, Isiah Spriggs, of the 1500 block of N. Eden St., also was charged with possession of a handgun. Police said the weapon was found in the suspect's car. Mr. Spriggs was being held in lieu of $7,500 bond.

* ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 58-year-old resident of th1300 block of Silverthorne Road was walking near his home Monday when a gunman jumped from behind some bushes and robbed him of his jacket and $8.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1993 Honda Accord with Maryland tags NRN211 was stolen from the 1700 block of Meridene Drive Sunday night.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1991 Honda witMaryland tags PVP236 and owned by a resident of the 1500 block of E. Cold Spring Lane was stolen from near the owner's home Monday.

* BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Someone entered the Cal Ripken Jr. Learning Center in the 2400 block of N. Calvert St. through a ground-floor window Monday and stole a cassette player and a radio, all valued at $60.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A 23-year-old resident of the 1100 block of Webb Court was in the 1300 block of Harford Road Sunday when he was attacked by three men who struck him with their fists and robbed him of nearly $100. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of injuries and was listed in stable condition.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 800 block of Aisquith St. of $30 near his home Sunday night.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A 45-year-old resident of the 1400 block of N. Decker Ave. was walking near her home Sunday when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing more than $100.

* SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Lemon St. was in the 1000 block of W. Henrietta St. Monday night when a man wearing a Howard University sweat shirt shot him in the leg. The gunman escaped, and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1100 block of W. Cross St. of nearly $18 in the 300 block of W. Ostend St. Monday night.


* BANK ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A man who implied he had a handgun robbed the Household Bank in the 1700 block of N. Rolling Road of an undisclosed sum Monday. After filling out a form and standing in line, the man ordered a teller to give him money and not to include a dye pack or else he would shoot her. The man escaped on foot.

* ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A gunman robbed the Royal Farms store in the 1600 block of Forest Park Ave. Monday morning of an undisclosed sum before driving off in a stolen maroon 1993 Nissan with Maryland tags PAJ193.
