ROBBERY TRY/ARRESTS: Central District -- Police arrested two teen-age boys Tuesday night shortly after they attempted to rob two men in the 900 block of N. Charles St. The victims, one from the 900 block of N. Charles St. and the other from the 300 block of Hendler Drive, were assaulted, but they declined medical treatment. The youths were being held at the police station pending a hearing before a juvenile officer.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of St. Paul St. was arguing with a man in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. Tuesday when he was struck in the face. The victim sustained a laceration and was taken to Union Memorial Hospital, where several stitches were required to close the wound.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Menlo Drive was standing at a bus stop in the 6000 block of York Road Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of a gold ring and $35, all valued at more than $700.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A two-door 1985 Oldsmobile Regency with Maryland vanity tags KUUMBA was stolen from the 6100 block of Marlora Road Monday or Tuesday.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- Someone stole a blue 1986 Volvo with Maryland tags AWV675 from the 400 block of Nicoll Ave. Monday or Tuesday.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a 1993 Ford through a side window while it was parked in the 2500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Monday or Tuesday and stole $80 in coins, a gym bag and jogging clothing, all valued at $130.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Moreland Ave. was about to change a flat tire in the 4400 block of Falls Road Tuesday when a man walked by and stole the jack, valued at $40.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2700 block of Springhill Ave. Tuesday and stole more than $300 from the bedroom.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1992 Chevrolet Tracker with Maryland tags 486541M was stolen Tuesday from the first block of E. 28th St.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered an office at the College of Notre Dame in the 4700 block of N. Charles St. between Dec. 23 and Tuesday and stole an undisclosed sum from a cash box.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2900 block of Violet Ave. through a basement window Tuesday and stole a Persian cat, cash and a VCR, all valued at nearly $2,000.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man placed an unknown object into the back of an employee at Fashion Cents Tuesday afternoon and ordered her to give him money from the cash register. The man escaped with an undisclosed sum.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1993 Nissan with Maryland tags NXG740 was stolen from the 3900 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- Someone stole a 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier with no tags from the 3900 block of Milford Ave. Monday or Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 100 block of S. Payson St. was in the 1400 block of W. Lombard St. Monday night when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $20.

STOLEN CAR: Southern District -- A 1992 Acura with Connecticut tags 929HOJ was stolen Tuesday from the 800 block of Sharp St.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A 5-year-old resident of the 1200 block of Cleveland St. was sledding near his home Tuesday when an older boy knocked him to the sidewalk and stole the sled, valued at $40. The victim was not injured.

ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Sharp St. was walking near her home Tuesday when a man grabbed her purse and attempted to steal it. When the woman fell to the ground while holding onto her purse, the man fled without taking her property. The woman received minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 1800 block of Harlem Ave. Monday or Tuesday and stole property valued at nearly $2,600.

THEFT: Western District -- A man who attempted to steal property valued at nearly $18 from the Farm Fresh store in the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Tuesday was allowed to leave when he produced valid identification. The property was recovered, and a warrant was pending against the man.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at nearly $250 was stolen from Yummie's liquor store in the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of N. Schroeder St. through a rear door Tuesday and stole a kitchen cabinet, a stove and other property, all valued at nearly $2,000.

THEFT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 2100 block of N. Pulaski St. Tuesday and stole tables, lamps and a bike.

STOLEN CAR: Western District -- A city-owned car with Maryland government tags SG06885 was stolen from the 700 block of N. Pulaski St. between Dec. 24 and Tuesday.
