Thomas gets award for work with students
Evelyn Thomas, founder of College Tours -- The Concerned Parent, will receive the 1994 Martin Luther King Jr. Zeitgeist Award from the Black Student Union at Anne Arundel Community College at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Dinner Jan. 11.
The BSU credits Ms. Thomas, an Arnold resident, for her work with high school students who want to continue their education. The organization she founded last year has been taking African-American county high school and community college students on tours of black colleges and universities.
