Clutter lifts S. Carroll to 51-20 win

Junior point guard Amber Clutter scored a game-high 12 points and handed out four assists, as No. 12 South Carroll (5-1) defeated visiting Centennial, 51-20, in a girls basketball game yesterday.

The Cavaliers built 25-point halftime lead over Centennial (1-4) and coasted to victory. Each frontcourt member -- senior Molly Cage, junior Melissa Gettemy and junior Erin Nauyalis -- contributed eight points.

* Pikesville 61, Sparrows Point 15: Jamie Robbins, a senior shooting guard, had 12 points and five steals to lead host Pikesville (2-3, 2-3) past Sparrows Point (0-4, 0-3) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A League game.

* Towson 76, Chesapeake-BC 12: Katie Barnes scored a game-high 17 to lead No. 9 Towson (4-0, 3-0) past visiting Chesapeake-BC (0-4, 0-4) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A League game. The Generals led 41-9 at halftime.

* Fallston 60, Bel Air 28: Jessica Mook, a sophomore forward, scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead No. 11 Fallston (7-0, 1-0) past Bel Air (0-4, 0-1) in a Harford County League game. Beth Rappold, a sophomore guard, and Jenny Weber, a junior forward, each added eight points for the %J Cougars.

* Woodlawn 62, Dundalk 27: Woodlawn (1-3, 1-3) scored 44 in the second half to breeze past host Dundalk (2-3, 2-3) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game for its first victory this season.

* Patapsco 41, Franklin 32: Senior guard Bobbie Zalewski had 13 points, including two three-pointers, to lead host Patapsco (4-2, 3-1) past Franklin (3-2, 3-2) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A game. Junior guard Samantha Porter added 10 for the Patriots.

* Friendly 61, South River 43: Jampa Campbell scored 15, as visiting Friendly (4-1) defeated South River (3-3). Pam Patterson led South River with 17.

Boys basketball

* Centennial 66, Liberty 46: Senior guard Kurt Weitzal scored a game-high 14 points, including a 3-for-3 performance from three-point range, as Centennial defeated visiting Liberty (2-4) in a non-league game. The Eagles (4-2) extended their winning streak to four games.

* Perry Hall 84, Lansdowne 63: Junior guard Nick Lozzi led all scorers with 29 points, but host Lansdowne (0-5, 0-4) fell to No. 19 Perry Hall (6-0, 5-0) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game.

* Broadneck 52, Severna Park 43: Jason Smith scored 15 to lead No. 12 Broadneck (2-0) past host Severna Park (1-4) in a non-league game.

* Franklin 83, Patapsco 62: Adam Campbell, a junior forward, scored 16 and grabbed six rebounds to lead host Franklin (2-3, 2-3) past Patapsco (2-4, 0-2) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game.

* Loch Raven 56, Hereford 45: Dane Elterman scored a game-high 23 to help host Loch Raven (4-1, 3-1) beat Hereford (2-2, 1-1) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A League game.

* Sparrows Point 76, Pikesville 57: Senior forward Will Marshall scored 25 and pulled down 19 rebounds to lead Sparrows Point (3-1, 1-1) past visiting Pikesville (0-5, 0-5) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A League game.

* Dulaney 65, Kenwood 58: Senior guard Chris Manfuso scored 20 to lift Dulaney (1-5, 1-4) over Kenwood (1-4, 0-2) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game.
