Outlook: The Mountaineers continue their tough road trip agains another Atlantic Coast Conference power after losing to No. 14 Georgia Tech, 79-62, Monday night. First-half scoring problems (an average of 26 points) and a decline in three-point efficiency (19 percent) have hurt Mount St. Mary's. Florida State is coming off a 90-67 victory over Morgan State that featured Chuck Graham's 24 points in his second game back after regaining eligibility. The young Seminoles, who lost three starters, will be without sophomore F Derrick Carroll, who dislocated a shoulder in the first half of the Morgan game. G Bobby Sura (22.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg) has had a sensational start, and Graham (13.5 ppg) is the team's second-leading scorer. This is the first meeting between these schools.

Outlook: The Midshipmen return from an 11-day break for exams with atonement in mind against the only Division III school they meet this season. They were stunned by the Bullets, 78-76, in overtime at home last season. Navy is trying to end a four-game losing streak after opening with two victories. T. J. Hall (15.0 ppg), Wes Cooper (12.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and Jim Hamilton (11.0 ppg) have been leading the scoring. Outlook: The Eagles have been making a specialty of heartbreaking defeats to top teams, bowing to Missouri, 64-63, Sunday after leading by as many as 15 points. They have lost to Washington State, Virginia and Missouri by a combined five points. Missouri scored the final 10 and beat Coppin badly on the backboards, 42-23. F Stephen Stewart (18.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg), G Keith Carmichael (15.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg) and G Sidney Goodman (14.2 ppg, 4.5 apg) are Coppin's offensive catalysts. Oklahoma is playing host to Coppin for the third time in recent seasons, winning the previous two games, 98-79 and 97-70.
