Pasadena man beaten in robbery attempt

Half a dozen men beat and tried to rob a 26-year-old man in Freetown Village Monday night, county police reported.

Paul Michael Sievers, 26, of the 7800 block of Huff Court in Pasadena, was walking on Huff Court when he was attacked by the men about 7 p.m. They hit Mr. Sievers with a steel weight and tried to take his bag, the police report said.

Mr. Sievers managed to escape from the men and run into his house to call police. Police searched the area but could not find the men.
