Tarpley to find servicewomen for memorial at Arlington

Cathy Tarpley of Pasadena has joined the Women in Military Service Memorial Foundation as a field representative.

Ms. Tarpley is one of the organization's 1,100 field representatives who search for servicewomen for inclusion in the Women in Military Service Memorial.

The memorial is to be built at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery and honor all women who have served in the armed forces from the Revolutionary War through the present.

A computer register featuring the photographs, service records and stories of women who have served in the armed forces will be featured.

* Pasadena: A television set valued at $800 was stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Double Chestnut Court between 7 p.m. and 11:21 p.m. Monday. Police said the burglars pried open the basement door.
