December 15, 1993

A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday in Philadelphia in connection with two murders here in 1991, city homicide detectives said.

Joscelyn L. Pike, formerly of Baltimore, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and related handgun charges for the deaths of Terrence B. Basteani, 20, of the 4900 block of Goodnow Road, and Robert Lee McFadden, 40, of the 4900 block of Denmore Ave., police said.

Mr. Basteani was shot down July 20, 1991, while he was in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave., police said.

Mr. McFadden was fatally shot Aug. 8, 1991, while he was on his porch.

Police said that both murders were drug-related.

The suspect was being held on no bail in Philadelphia, pending an extradition hearing, police said.
