Wilde Lake girls defeat Catholic, 68-28

Senior guard Kim Driessen scored 14 points to lead No. 14 Wilde Lake (3-2) over visiting Catholic (2-4), 68-28, in girls basketball yesterday. Driessen had seven steals for Wilde Lake.

* Fallston 66, Catonsville 62: Sophomore Cachet Hall scored 22 points but host Catonsville (1-1) still fell to No. 13 Fallston (3-0).

Catonsville came within two during the fourth but failed to score the go-ahead points.

* Mt. Carmel 31, S. Keough 16: Larissa Paulino scored 13 points as visiting Mount Carmel (4-5) upset No. 15 Seton Keough (0-2) in an Association of Independent Schools game.

Boys basketball

* Greater Grace 65, Lanham 63: Peter Scibelli scored a game-high 30 points to lead visiting Greater Grace past Lanham Christian School in a Maryland Christian Athletic League game.

Joel Brown led Lanham with 22. Greater Grace (3-2, 2-0) held a 65-54 edge with 1:30 to play until Lanham (2-1, 2-1) hit two three-pointers to close the lead to five.

* Centennial 63, Bel Air 41: Seann Jones scored 16 points and Rob Haye pulled down 11 rebounds to lead visiting Centennial (1-2) past Bel Air (0-3). Victor Smith led the Bobcats with 16.

* Joppatowne 74, North East (Cecil) 46: Sophomore forward LaMar Williams led the Mariners with 22 points as Joppatowne (2-0) defeated visiting North East (0-2). Senior center Chris Gephardt added 17 to Joppatowne's total.

* Granite Baptist 80, Grace Bible 10: Junior forward Ben Baab scored 28 points as Granite Baptist (3-0) won a 70-point final edge over visiting Grace Bible (0-3).
