POLICE

* Detour: A resident of Detour reported that someone entered his garage and stole a leather jacket, a radio and a quantity of cassette tapes Sunday. The resident said the property was valued at $840.

FIRE

* Taneytown: Taneytown firefighters assisted Adams County, Pa., at a building fire on St. John's Road at 8:25 a.m. Friday. They were out for 10 minutes.

Engines from Taneytown, Pleasant Valley and Harney responded for a shed fire on Mayberry Road at 10:26 p.m. Friday. Units were out for two hours.

Firefighters from Taneytown, Harney and Union Bridge were dispatched for a house fire on Cambridge Court at 6:47 p.m. Sunday. Units were out for 25 minutes.

* New Windsor: Firefighters from New Windsor responded for wires burning on Jasontown Road at 9:14 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 24 minutes.

* Union Bridge: Engines from Union Bridge were dispatched for cleanup duties on Main Street at 6:28 p.m. Sunday. They were out for 20 minutes.

Firefighters from the Union Bridge company responded to the scene of a car leaking gasoline on Main Street at 7:58 p.m. Sunday. They were out for 10 minutes.
