Man treated and released after car crash

An 18-year-old man was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after the car he was driving on Route 482 near Snydersburg was struck from behind about 8:10 a.m. yesterday.

Wade Blain Zufall of the 4000 block of Meadow Lane was westbound on Hampstead-Mexico Road and stopped for traffic, waiting to make a left turn on Gorsuch Road, state police said.

Mr. Zufall's vehicle was hit by a 1987 Dodge Omni driven by Raymond C. Becker of the 1500 block of Littlestown Pike.

Mr. Zufall was treated and released from the trauma center about noon yesterday, according to a hospital spokesman.

FIRE

* Lineboro: Lineboro, Manchester and Hampstead responded for a house fire on Roller Road at 2:49 p.m. Saturday. All engines were sent back to their stations after three minutes.

Lineboro assisted Baltimore County at a building fire on Freeland Road at 6:26 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for two hours.

Lineboro firefighters assisted York County, Pa., at a field fire on Skyview Drive at 8:49 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for one hour.

* Manchester: Manchester investigated a report of a fire in a building on Main Street at 6:07 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 26 minutes.

Manchester, Westminster and Hampstead responded to a house fire on Cape Horn Road at 7:48 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 25 minutes.

Manchester, Lineboro and Hampstead put out a chimney fire on Janet Court at 6:18 p.m. Sunday. Units were out for 30 minutes.
