Tips sought in Oct. gas station robbery

Annapolis Crime Solvers is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in an armed robbery that occurred about 10:49 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 300 block of West St.

The victim reported that two men approached him in the parking lot of the Texaco Gas Station, pointed a handgun at his face and demanded money. The victim handed over a gold money clip and the suspects fled behind the business.

If anyone has information about this or any other crime, police ask that they call the Crime Solvers of Annapolis hot line at 267-8888. All information remains confidential. Callers are asked to refer to case number 93-42.

Three stores robbed on Hillsmere Drive

Burglars who broke into several Hillsmere Drive businesses early Friday morning by cutting holes through a shopping center roof finally set off an alarm about 2:10 a.m, shortly after dropping into the office of Pizza and Taco Express, Annapolis police said.

They escaped out the restaurant's back door before the police and owner arrived.

Police later found holes leading into four businesses, mostly restaurants, in the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive.

The owner of Jo's Deli reported $500 stolen from a safe with $100 reported taken from Rocco's Pizza.
