Diron Insley and Gene Battista led the Chesapeake Chiefs Bantam A team to three more victories last weekend at Piney Orchard Ice Rink in Odenton.

Insley scored four goals and assisted on four others and Battista had seven assists in wins over teams from Bowie, Northern Virginia and Pottstown, Pa.

The Chiefs used scoring from seven different players and five of Battista's assists to beat Northern Virginia, 8-3. Steve Sudnick made 13 saves.

Insley had two goals and two assists in the 4-2 victory over Bowie. Adam Kerner made 14 saves.

Those two victories brought the Chiefs' Capital Beltway Hockey League record to 3-0-1.

The Chiefs' 7-3 win over Pottstown, which ran their Delaware Valley Hockey League record to 3-1, was highlighted by a Neil Buchlietner hat trick.

Other weekend scorers were Brian Rice (four goals), Scott Arruda (two goals, three assists), Tim Moore (two, one), Mike Weyermann (one, two), Adam Troxell (four assists), Zac Jackson (one goal), Brian James (one goal) and Gabe Gresczky (one assist).

Youth soccer

11-and-under girls -- The Davidsonville Gators finished their regular season with a 2-0 win over the Greater Glen Burnie Hurricanes.

Lauren McKeever scored the first goal off of an indirect kick from Jackie Calacicco. Laura Hayden booted in the second goal unassisted.

Lindsey Bower had an outstanding game at midfield. The Gators (4-1-4) finished in first place in Division I.

Other team members include Kristen Anderson, Lindsey Bowers, Raina Edelstein, Emily Gerbasi, Robyn Grimes, Kelli Hogan, Christina Kirstein, Michelle Lee, Rebecca Lenberg, Allison McCutchen, Jessica Mikula, Katie Novicky, Erin O'Hara, Dana Rudderow and Alexandra Sullivan.

Roller skating

The Pasadena Speed Club came home with 56 ribbons after last week's competition in Frenchtown, N.J.

Pasadena skaters brought home 20 first-place ribbons, 21 second-place ribbons and 15 third-place ribbons.

Clayton Cruppenink picked up four first-place ribbons while participating in the Elementary Division.

Amanda Bathras paced Pasadena in the Juvenile Division, picking up two first-place ribbons and two for second. Summer Sakowski picked up ribbons for second and third place in the Elementary Division, and Justin Scalio finished third in the 500- and 700-meter events.

Tommy Pleasant won three second-place ribbons in the Elementary Division and one third-place award. Wendy Boussard took second in the 700-meter event, and Tim Bathras, competing in the Freshmen Division, placed third in the 1,000-meter race.

Other multiple ribbon winners were Tiffany Fowler, Mark Benson, Mike Cruppenink, Rich Ritter, Brandy Folmer, Stacy Taylor, Karin Petkovsek, Rick Bartley, John Riggleman and Wayne Kopecki.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, seven members of the Pasadena Speed Club participated in an invitational meet in Greensboro, N.C.

The team came home with eight trophies to add to its collection.

Benson and Amanda Bathras both emerged as double trophy winners. Single trophy winners included Riggleman, Katie Magill, Tim Spalt and T. J. Bathras.
