No. 7 Walbrook beaten by 41

Junior shooting guard Jinika Conley scored 22 points and junior captain Natisha Ferguson added 17 rebounds, five blocked shots and 16 points to lead No. 6 Lake Clifton over No. 7 Walbrook, 68-27, yesterday at the Lake Clifton Mixer.

* Howard 60, Frederick 29: Junior forward Mona Jackson scored a career-high 27 and senior guard Emily Moore added 13, as the 12th-ranked Lions (2-0) routed Frederick (0-1).

The Lions limited the Cadets to three points in the first quarter and held a 31-15 halftime lead.

* Mercy 30, Bryn Mawr 26: Christina Williamson scored 14 points and Meg Kline added 10 in leading No. 15 Mercy to a 30-26 win over Bryn Mawr in the season opener for both teams.

Bryn Mawr sophomore forward Emily Hickman led all scorers with 17 points.

* Forest Park 58, Northern 37: Sherri Anderson's triple-double helped Forest Park beat Northern at the Lake Clifton Mixer.

Anderson scored 28 points and had 12 steals, 10 rebounds and five assists for the Foresters (1-1).

Forest Park's LaShaunda Clark had 12 blocked shots, 12 rebounds and 10 points.

* Dunbar 39, City 38: Angel Davis led an 18-8 fourth-quarter scoring run, as visiting Dunbar (2-0) defeated City at the Lake Clifton Mixer. Vanessa Griffin led City with eight.

* Edmondson 68, Southern-B 9: Nikita Pope scored 18 to lead visiting Edmondson (1-0) past Southern-Baltimore (0-2) at the Lake Clifton Mixer.

The Redskins led 29-0 at halftime.

* St. Paul's 54, Oldfields 39: Julie Boyer scored 17 and pulled down seven rebounds, leading St. Paul's (2-2, 1-0) past visiting Oldfields (1-1, 0-1) in a AIS A Division West contest.

L Tehma Smith added 12 points and eight steals for the Gators.

* Park 53, Garrison Forest 35: Jessica Schiavone scored 16 points and Alexa Wilder added 13, leading visiting Park (3-0) over Garrison Forest (0-1) in an AIS non-league game.

Maggie Shoemaker and Ashley Ingraham scored 11 each for Garrison Forest.

* Notre Dame 55, Friends 26: Carrie Natale scored 17 and Maggie Kilroy 14 to lead host Notre Dame Prep (2-2) over Friends.

* Dulaney 45, EVT 13: Junior Guard Lisa Rutledge scored 14 to lead Dulaney (2-0) past visiting EVT (0-1).

* Maryvale 37, Roland Park 19: Meg McLaughlin scored 12 to lead host Maryvale (2-0) over Roland Park (0-2).

* North Harford 52, Elkton 35: Melenda Virts had 17 points to lead host North Harford over Elkton.

* Perry Hall 38, Franklin 35: Host Franklin (1-1) missed a potential game-winning shot with 23 seconds left in a loss to Perry Hall (1-1).

The Gators had led by as many as 10 points until Jill Smith (12 points) and Jennifer Cooper (12 points) mounted a comeback for Franklin.
